In Class!

Thats right, Millie is in Class with her new person. She is in a two week class with her future partner. She is set to graduate next Saturday. Now, something can always happen, but right now she is with her person and in the final stretch to becoming a Guide Dog! I am working to figure out how I will get there...either fly or drive. My first graduate, I am so excited! What do you do when you find out your pup is in class?
Mille sits next to me wearing her green training vest I am wearing a dark red shirt and jeans We are both sitting on an old wood table with trees in full fall colors of orange and yellow behind us.

Thank you! And I know what you mean. Once the suprise wore off it became a game of "ok, now how best to get there for the least amount and can Tom come too" all in one breath! Not a whole lot of time to plan...But I am so excited!!

Wow, congrats! Because I was just able to experience a graduation 2 weeks ago, let me tell you, it is one of the best experiences in the world. Somehow GDB is able to make a PERFECT match. I could not even cry as Burgess walked away with Darryl, as I knew it was perfect and meant to be. Can't wait to hear more about Millie's partner :) And have an awesome time at grad!!

Thank you! I am so excited to talk to her new partner next week. I think we get to call on Wed or Thurs? I just know it is the perfect match for Millie and that she will be on a great journey in life.

Yay congratulations!! Graduation is the best thing ever!
Check out Southwest.com for tickets. If it's not too late, their "wanna get away" are pretty cheap. But they usually get more expensive each day.
Have an amazing time :)

Thanks Maddie! I am looking at everything for flights right now. I won't book anything until tomorrow though. Tom may be able to get off of work and then we would just drive up! If not, I will be flying up by myself, with maybe Rafferty in tow.

You do a Happy Dance, cry, then start imagining how amazing that pup is going to look in harness for the rest of her career.

I don't have any hints for getting cheap flights. Unless you know someone willing to gift you some frequent flier miles!

We have 2 dogs associated with our club graduating at this graduation, too. I plan to be there! You'll be very busy, but I'll try to say hello.
