She is here!

My new pup has arrived....

Meet.....

Millicent!
8.25.2008
Bosworth/Tinella

I picked her up from my leader late afternoon yesterday. So far she seems to be a very sweet, if slightly naughty, pup. We are going to work on house manners and being calm inside. She loves the big toy box with all sorts of fun nylabones and Kongs to chew on. She is very confident and went over an open grate and up and down see through stairs (have to, as that is how you get inside my house!). She is a cousin to Bracken and Burgess, as Bosworth and Bingham were brothers.

She will be going to work with me today, and will have a nice mellow day hanging out with Sterling. She has also met Marley. Over the next week she will meet Dante and Hugo face to face, right now all sniffing is through baby gates. Living with this many dogs means gradual introductions!

I do have to say....her name is pretty awful! I don't know, it just makes me think of a great-aunt, maybe one with alot of cats? Millie comes out alot easier, and it seems to be what she is used to.

Pictures and more updates will hopefully follow later today. It is a dog rodeo for me, as Tom and his friend both went in to work at 6am to do avalanche control work, and Tom will not be off until 9pm tonight!

Millicent seems like a very sweet and confident (she walked with her vest on!) pup. I can't wait to see this girl grow and mature.

Welcome Millie! I do agree that Millicent sounds like someone born in the late 17th century or something. Not one of my favorite names by any stretch of the imagination. She sounds like a good puppy so far. Good luck!

LOL, yeah. I'd be calling her Millie too. Millicent reminds me of a witch from an old cartoon movie. I can't remember which one though.

Ahhh yay for cousin Millicent! I don't envy her name...Burgess might even be a better name than that. You're right, definitely a great aunt name. :) Good luck with her, and I hope that her house manners shape up quickly.

Welcome Millicent! I agree about her name... We have her brother Matador in our club. I got to puppysit him for a week in December and I FELL IN LOVE!!! He was such a nice sweet boy. I haven't seen him lately though, but hopefully he still is and hopefully his sister will take after him!

Yay! Welcome to Millie! I think "Maleficent" when I see her name, making me think of the evil witch ;) Hope you are having fun with her! Can't wait for pictures!

I had a feeling it would be her. :D Glad she is wearing her vest willingly for you. She sounds like a peach, and I agree about the name. It reminds me of a great aunt with a mustache or something. Good luck to you and Millicent, hope she settles in soon. :D
